Template guide

Make it yours

Everything you need to swap in your own films. Delete this page before you publish.

1. Upload a clip for every film (important)

The Home reel (Aspect reel) and the Home index (Film index) each hold a list of films. Select the component, open each film in the right panel and upload a Video (a muted MP4, ideally under 2 MB and 6 to 10 seconds) and a Poster (its first frame). Framer does not carry video or poster files inside these lists for you: a film you add or rename shows an empty frame until you upload its own clip and poster.

2. Pick a ratio per film

Each film has a Ratio: 2.39 Scope, 2.00 Univisium, 1.85 Flat, 1.66 European, 1.37 Academy or 9:16 Vertical. The black bars glide to that shape as visitors scroll. Encode or crop your clip to the same ratio so nothing important is cut off.

3. Film pages come from the CMS

Work and each film page read from the Films collection: title, type, place, camera, runtime, year, ratio, logline, video, poster, three stills and production notes. Write the ratio as plain text (for example 2.39 or 9:16).

4. Notes, contact and footer

Set notes come from the Notes collection. Change the email in the Contact page and in the Footer’s End credits component, where every credit line is also a link.

5. Fonts, colour and motion

Two fonts: Encode Sans (Condensed for titles) and Sometype Mono. Colours live in the Matte, Paper, Grey, Rule and Tally styles. Videos only play while on screen, and visitors who prefer reduced motion see posters instead.
